The classic sketch by hand - the design sketch - is still the most direct means of expression for the presentation of new design ideas. A quick sketch is worth a thousand words. Conceptual design ideas can thus represent a very poignant, without being formally have to be authentic. This tried and tested form of expression in combination with modern CAD tools in the design process form an effective team. The only manually in the past, analog workflow using colored pencils, markers and paper is now a manually-digital workflow by PC and graphics tablet given way. A hybrid operation consisting of digital sketching and simplified 3D modeling in the design scene becoming increasingly important and has established itself in our house already. Each designer is with us his own modeler. Sketching and modeling process, once sharply separate steps carried out by different persons, now temporarily overlap and grow closer and closer together.
